Class 4 – Set-Accelerating Admixture

CLASS 4

CLASS 4 is a ready-to-use mortar, plaster, cast screed, and concrete admixture suitable for cold climate conditions, accelerating the reaction between water and cement at the beginning of setting to accelerate the setting time and ensure the strength of the mortar.

Application Areas

  • On concrete surfaces where rapid setting is required
  • In ready-mix concrete production with and without pump
  • To protect against the effects of frost in cold weather conditions
  • Used in prefabricated and precast concrete castings.

Application Information

After the shaking process, the required amount of CLASS 4 should be mixed in a clean container until a homogeneous state is achieved. Using a measuring container is recommended to obtain a mixture of homogeneous consistency.

Cement is sprinkled to completely cover the surface of the liquid material. The material is quickly mixed to achieve a paste consistency. Only the required amount of CLASS 4 should be added to the container.

Avoid application during expected precipitation and in rainy weather conditions. Do not add powder or water to hardened mortar.

The application dosage should be determined through prior laboratory tests based on concrete grade and specifications.

Consumption

When used alone: For 100 kg of binder (Cement-Ash-Micro Silica) it is used at a rate of 2.5 – 5 kg.

When used in combination with another plasticizing agent: For 100 kg of binder (Cement-Ash-Micro Silica) it is used at a rate of 1 – 2 kg.
