Class 1052 – Tile and Ceramic Adhesive

CLASS 1052

CLASS 1052 is a cement-based, powder resin-modified, single-component adhesive mortar with high adhesion strength, developed for bonding tiles and ceramics, featuring reduced slip, extended open time, and extra plus characteristics.

Description

Application Areas

  • On horizontal and vertical surfaces indoors
  • On horizontal and vertical surfaces outdoors
  • In applications over concrete or screed floor surfaces
  • Used for bonding ceramic and tiles up to a maximum size of 60×60 cm.

Application Information

The prepared CLASS 1052 is applied firmly onto the bonding surface using a trowel to create a base layer.
The mortar applied to the surface is then combed using a notched trowel suitable for the type and/or dimensions of the tile to be bonded.
Within a maximum of 20 minutes, the tiles are firmly pressed into the mortar. At least 90% mortar contact with the back of the tiles
must be ensured. Tapping the bonded tiles with a rubber mallet ensures even better adhesion. Depending on the tile type,
dimensions, and/or substrate conditions, a back-buttering (double-sided bonding) method can also be performed by applying mortar
to the back of the tiles.
