Class 1060 – Highly Flexible Tile and Ceramic Adhesive

CLASS 1060

It is a cement-based, high-performance ready-to-use mortar with improved additional characteristics, reduced slip, extended open time, and modified for high elasticity, used for bonding porcelain ceramic and granite ceramic materials.

Description

Application Areas

  • On horizontal and vertical surfaces indoors
  • On horizontal and vertical surfaces outdoors
  • In applications over concrete or screed floor surfaces
  • Used for bonding granite, ceramic, glass, mosaic, and porcelain.

Application Information

The prepared CLASS 1060 is firmly pressed and spread onto the substrate using a trowel to form a uniform layer.
The mortar applied to the bonding surface is combed using a notched trowel suitable for the type and/or size of the tiles to be installed.
Tiles must be firmly pressed into the mortar within a maximum of 35 minutes. Contact of at least 90% of the back surface of the tiles with the mortar
must be ensured. Tapping the installed tiles with a rubber mallet ensures even better adhesion. Depending on the type and dimensions of the tile
and/or the condition of the application substrate, the back-buttering (double-sided bonding) method can be applied by spreading mortar onto the back of the tiles as well.
Grouting should be carried out after 24 hours for horizontal surfaces and 48 hours for vertical surfaces.
