Description
Application Areas
- On horizontal and vertical surfaces indoors
- On horizontal and vertical surfaces outdoors
- In applications over concrete or screed floor surfaces
- Used for bonding ceramics and tiles up to a maximum size of 40×40 cm.
Application Information
The prepared CLASS 1051 is firmly pressed and spread onto the application surface using a trowel to create a base layer.
The applied mortar is then combed with a notched trowel suitable for the type and/or size of the tiles to be bonded.
Within a maximum of 20 minutes, the tiles are firmly pressed into the mortar. At least 90% of the back surface of the tiles
must achieve contact with the mortar. Tapping the tiles installed on the mortar with a rubber mallet ensures superior adhesion. Depending on the type
and dimensions of the tile and/or the substrate condition, a double-sided buttering-floating method can also be applied by spreading mortar onto the back of the tiles.
