Class 1054 – Porcelain and Ceramic Adhesive

CLASS 1054

CLASS 1054 is a white cement-based, single-component, polymer-modified, high-performance, flexible adhesive mortar with extra properties and reduced slip, developed for bonding products such as granite stone, natural and artificial stone, tiles, ceramics, porcelain, glass, mosaics, clinker, etc.

Description

Application Areas

  • Used for the installation of coverings such as ceramics, granite ceramics, and glazed porcelain on walls and floors in interior and exterior areas.
  • Used in areas with heavy pedestrian and load traffic.
  • Suitable for use in terrace and balcony applications.
  • Used in private, public, and heated swimming pools.

Application Information

The prepared CLASS 1054 is applied onto the bonding surface by pressing firmly with a trowel to create a base layer.
The mortar applied to the surface is then combed with a notched trowel suitable for the type and/or dimensions of the tile.
Within a maximum of 35 minutes, the tiles are firmly pressed into the mortar. At least 90% mortar contact with the back of the tiles
must be ensured. Better adhesion is achieved by tapping the installed tiles with a rubber mallet. Depending on the tile type, dimensions,
and/or substrate condition, the double-buttering method can be applied by spreading mortar onto the back of the tiles as well.
Grouting should be performed after 24 hours for horizontal surfaces and 48 hours for vertical surfaces.
