Description
Application Areas
- Indoors and outdoors
- On walls and ceilings
- Horizontally and vertically
- Used for plastering thermal insulation boards.
Application Information
CLASS THERMAL SV is applied as a first coat with a thickness of 2-3 mm onto pre-bonded and mechanically anchored boards using a steel trowel.
While the plaster is still wet, CLASS Reinforcement Mesh is positioned from top to bottom and embedded into the fresh mortar. To prevent cracking,
CLASS Reinforcement Mesh is applied with an overlap of 10 cm at the joints. At corners and around all beams, windows, and door
frames, CLASS Reinforcement Mesh must be wrapped around by at least 20 cm. The second coat application can be started after 3-4 hours. The second coat plaster
application should be 2–3 mm thick, and the surface must definitely be dampened prior to application. Depending on weather conditions, care should be taken to ensure the first coat
has not fully cured and cold joints are not formed. After the application, the surface will become ready for the exterior coating.
Using a sponge float weakens surface adhesion and may cause dusting; therefore, do not use a sponge float.
If direct painting is to be applied, a waiting period of 2–3 days is mandatory depending on weather conditions. In high-rise buildings exposed to wind loads
and in high ambient temperatures, dampening must be performed, and shading nets should even be installed on the scaffolding.
