Class PUX-510 – Single-Component Polyurethane Floor Primer

CLASS PUX-510

It is a single-component, polyurethane-based, solvent-borne, transparent primer material developed for all surfaces.

Description

Application Areas

  • Concrete, plaster, render cement-based panels, and wooden surfaces,
  • Primer for polyurethane-based waterproofing materials,
  • Wet and/or damp concrete surfaces,
  • Non-absorbent surfaces,
  • Metal, marble, and glass surfaces

Application Information

CLASS PUX-510 is applied homogeneously in a single coat onto the pre-prepared surface using a roller or brush. CLASS PUX-510 is applied in one or two coats until the surface is saturated and a continuous film layer is formed. Packages stored at room temperature (+15°C to +25°C) for 24 hours should be opened and mixed until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. The mixing process must strictly be carried out using a low-speed mixer and a suitable paddle. 2–3 hours after the application of the material (while the primer surface is still tacky), the polyurethane waterproofing material or sealant application to be applied on top should be performed. The topcoat material must strictly be applied to the primed surface within a max. of 24 hours. Do not apply on wet and damp surfaces. Until the material sets, it must be protected against water, rain, external conditions, and mechanical stresses. It should be taken into account that curing time may shorten in hot weather and extend in cold weather.

Consumption

Depending on the surface condition; factors such as the porosity and absorbency of the substrate may increase consumption. Conducting a test patch on the application substrate is recommended to control consumption. Theoretical consumption as a primer: 0.150 kg/m2 – 0.300 kg/m2.
